Athlete of the week
Rincon Valley Middle School's Athletics Department would like to recognize our athletes for their hard work and dedication. Each week an athlete will be chosen and honored.
This week’s Athletes of the Week come from the Wrestling Team, Troy & Val.
On varsityTroy was one of the most talented wrestlers on our team this year. He spent time during the offseason from last year attending clubs and camps and the hard work showed this year. He went 5-0 in the league this season. Troy is always looking to better himself on the wrestling mat.
On the JV team Valentin was new to wrestling. He has developed a great sense of the mat and body positioning during matches. He is tough for an opponent to take down. We are looking forward to seeing big things from him next season in a varsity role.
Congratulations Troy & Val for being our athletes of the week!
Mascot: Falcons

Philosophy
Interscholastic athletics are an integral part of the educational program at RVMS and are designed to have a positive influence on students. In addition to athletic skill development, coaches are responsible for teaching our student-athletes proper attitudes toward citizenship, sportsmanship, and cooperation, as well as developing self-discipline and self-esteem. Our goal is to provide an athletic program that is an integral part of the educational program, which will promote physical well being and desirable attributes in leadership and sportsmanship for all the participants in the athletic program.
